Although old man winter seems to be lingering around longer and longer each year, soon we will be rid of the heavy winter clothing. This includes our beloved winter scarves. But the great news is that scarves continue to be an essential accessory that can add a pop of color, sense of flair or tie everything in together just right.
First thing’s first, start with the material. Anything that is “hair” like Angora, Cashmere, or knit that you may find in your grandmother’s crochet basket is a NO for spring and summer. Linen and cotton are the best materials for scarves in the warmer seasons.
After making certain you have lighter materials the next step is color! A fun color and lightweight scarf will add zest to any summer outfit!
